momei just realized that newjeans in omg are talking about an imaginary boy and they don't wanna admit their delusion because he's always there for them. that's not the realization part, but I just realized I have the same thing. i can't let him go. even tho i'm getting better and had more people who were there for me, i still couldn't let him go. it's been years since i was like this and it's the reason i can't live a normal life or find my identity. i'm scared it's gonna be this way forever. i even gave him a birthday. it's coming up soon.

Date: 2025-04-24 02:09 am (UTC)I know, it's not as widely accepted for 18 and above people to probably still have imaginary friends and prance on the living room with a toy magic wand, but what I can say is that there are some people who'll accept you as you are, even your weird quirks and what we call flaws.
Kiwu, I have so many imaginary friends from then until now. Some I've outgrown, some I've retconned. But some genuinely helped me in my day to day life.
My friend even has his own imaginary friends too and it taught him to communicate and socialize in real life because he couldnt do it on his own.
It may seem like nothing to others, but some of us need imaginary friends to even survive this heckhole of a life. So dont be too down on yourself. Let's be weird together 💜
